POEM- 'A PILGRIM ON THE SANDS OF TIME'

A pilgrim stands on the sands of time,
As the waves sing him a melodious rhyme!
To his soul, this seems so sublime!

Journeying through the ebbs and tides,
Through the radiant mornings and gloomy eventides,
In search of that mystique presence which binds all sides!!

As he fixes his eyes upon the horizon,
A new wave emerges in his field of vision!
Like thoughts in his cluttered mind, they keep on coming without a reason!

As these waves crash upon the sandy shore,
Losing all the energy they carried before
Like a pilgrim, salvation is what they implore!

And life as he finds,
Is like a wave with its ebbs and tides,
Still sailing amidst the stormy rides!!

The sea is but a prison!
The life is but a reason!
To stop the sail would be treason!!

And as he walks along this great pantomime
Singing alone his own rhyme,
A pilgrim leaves behind his footprints on the sands of time!!
